The Falcon Lake area is known for low fishing pressure, great Sunsets with a view of the mountains in Mexico on clear days, good fishing success, and very nice people. A very mild and dry winter climate and the earliest natural large-mouth bass spawn in Texas make Falcon an excellent choice for your winter getaways.
If you like to catch lots of fish and get away from the crowds you have likely found at other destinations, Falcon Lake is an excellent choice for an inexpensive vacation.
There some remarkable relics to be seen and artifacts such as arrowheads are found in many of the lake's areas that were inhabited by native Americans thousands of years ago. The old town of Guerrero Mexico (now mostly underwater) still has the original Church viable from the Salado Arm of the lake.
About the owner: Our Family loves to have fun and get away from the city when work allows! We work and live in the fast paced world. We enjoy the outdoors; especially fishing and our favorite get-away and memories all include lake time.
Why the Owner Chose Zapata, TX, USA:
Since our favorite past time is Fishing, we spent a great deal of time looking for the perfect lake and house. Having Fished the lake for over 23yrs and knowing that Falcon Lake is the best bass fishing lake in Texas, we knew Falcon Lake is where we wanted to be! The lake is such a peaceful and serene lake without all the hustle of jet skis, wake boards, etc. This lake is a great place to get away to fish, relax, and make great memories.

We consider our houses our homes and have devoted a great deal of time to making it have the comforts and to be a relaxing perfect get away on Falcon Lake in Zapata Texas! Although, our homes are only a 5 minutes away from the county boat ramp. We also offer a private boat ramp that guarantees you’ll be on the water in no time. Are you thinking of fishing to weekends in a row or pre-fishing a weekend before tournament, but don’t want to tow your boat back? With the rental of our home for 2 weekends back to back, Arrangements can be made to store your boat as we offer 24hr parking lot video surveillance.
